To use a METTLER TOLEDO carat or jewellery balance, first place the scale on a stable, vibration-free surface and ensure it is correctly levelled before switching it on. Allow the balance a short warm-up period for accurate weighing, then select the required unit such as grams (g) or carats (ct) using the unit function. Always place items gently in the centre of the weighing pan and wait for the reading to stabilise before recording the weight. For best precision, keep the weighing area clean, avoid drafts or airflow, and follow proper setup and handling practices as demonstrated in METTLER TOLEDO’s jewellery balance tutorials and operating guides.
