Needle Files

For sanding precise or certain areas that could not be done by using sandpaper. Small needle files are available in the form of square, round and triangle and they are also great for shaping plastic, wood, and many other materials.

They’re the one tool that you will use the most in your jewellery making projects. They help you smooth off the edges to take away the sharp points. They help you clean simple scratches on wire or sheet metal, or they can help you finish a project in a clean and professional way.

A good set of quality files can make the tedious job of filing a breeze. A complete jewellery tool kit will include a full selection of files – both needle and hand, of all shapes and sizes and cuts, and become some of the most used tools at the bench.

Needle files come in a wide variety of materials, sizes, shapes, cuts, and tooth configurations. The cross-section of a file can be flat, round, half-round, triangular, square, knife edge or of a more specialized shape

Needle files are small files that are used in applications where the surface finish takes priority over metal removal rates but they are most suited for smaller work pieces. They are often sold in sets, including different shapes.
