Clock Movements

What are Clock Movements?

Clock movements are the internal workings of a clock or watch, as opposed to the casing, which encloses and protects the clock movement, and the face which displays the time. The term arrives from mechanical timepieces, where clock movements consist of numerous moving parts. It is used less often when referring to quartz timepieces and modern electronic timepieces, where the word module is often used instead. In modern mass produced clocks and watches, the same movement is often put into many different styles of casings. Clock movements, clock parts and tools are available at Cape Watch. We offer a broad range of clock and watch parts, clock movements, mechanisms, motors & more
