This great one-part crystal clear resin is so easy to use!

With the help of a strong UV light the UV Crystal Resin cures in minutes, rather than hours, (see code L0039 below).

One of the best things about this new style resin, is that the bottle has a useful applicator tip, making it easy to apply - no messing out of pots with sticky spatulas. You put the gel from the pot directly onto your piece, as it is quite thick it is easy to handle.

The thick viscosity of the gel allows you to create slightly domed effects easily and you can Build layers. The gel cures rock hard in minutes with a UV light. The time of curing varies from 3-10 min depending on thickness and colour added.

You can add colour to the resin and mix the shade and transparency you desire. The resin dries with a shiny surface and doesn’t even need a polish. Should you wish to file or sand down and shape the resin it can easily be done and then polished like normal metal would be on the bench or hanging motor.

These little tubes with colours can be used to dye the UV resin, should you not want it clear. Drip out ONE drop of colour on your mixing surface, pick up a small quantity of colour on a toothpick (or pick it up on the toothpick straight from the bottle) and transfer this to your gel and give it a good mix. Please note that the gel takes longer to cure if you add colour!

If you've added colour, let the resin cure in the UV light for about 5 minutes, or more, if needed. Often starting with a thin layer of clear gel, which you cure before adding the coloured layer helps get a strong thick hard layer of resin. The clear gel will bond better with the metal surface too. By adding a clear layer on top of your coloured gel will give your colour a beautiful depth.

This UV resin is a great affordable alternative to enamel -so no baking in an oven needed! Be creative You can insert stones, glitter, natural objects like shells or sea sand in the gel too!
